Some couples have fertility issues that make it difficult for them to have children. Egg Donors donate their own eggs to couples who cannot bear children on their own. Egg donation is a precious gift of love from a very special woman to a couple. Are you one of these special women?
Many women have found it emotionally fulfilling to be an Egg Donor. In addition to feeling good about helping others, they are able to use the compensation they receive after their donation to help their own families.
If you are a healthy young woman between the ages of 21 and 30, we invite you to apply for our Egg Donation Program. To qualify, you must be a California resident and have a current California driver's license. We will review your medical history, including drug/alcohol use, pregnancy history, family genetics, and height/weight proportionality. (For health reasons, to qualify you must not exceed a body mass index of 25. Please click here for the Body Mass Index Table.)
As part of our screening process, we meet with all of our Donor candidates personally, review your submitted materials, and educate you about the process.
Yes! Because infertility issues can affect couples of all nationalities, at Family Formation we strive to have a large variety of Donor candidates of different ethnicities, cultural backgrounds and physical characteristics.
Upon preliminary approval, we will arrange for you to complete the psychological screening process. You may meet with Intended Parents to learn more about each other if both parties wish to.
After you are selected by Intended Parents, we will make arrangements for you to complete a medical screening with a respected physician who is a reproductive endocrinologist (fertility specialist). All the screening expenses by psychologists and physicians are covered.

After retrieval of the eggs, you will be compensated approximately $5,000–$7,000 to cover pain and suffering and your incidental expenses (more for repeat donors). The act of donating is considered a charitable endeavor. Our program complies with ASRM guidelines which state “Donors will NOT be paid over $10,000.00 under any circumstances.”
